House Rules and Racing Etiquette

๐Always be courteous and respectful to fellow racers and committee (see note at foot of page*)
๐All racers, who are physically able to, shall help with track setup and pack away at the start/end of the race meeting
๐All racers, who are physically able to, shall marshal the race after theirs (unless they are racing two back to back, in which case, marshal the race after). Substitutions are allowed. If you have repairs to do to your car and are not able to marshal the next race, please advise race control who will make a call on whether you need to obtain a substitute marshal or not
๐Be sure to welcome new and potential members, visitors and spectators
๐All racers must be prepared to submit their car when asked by race control for scrutineering to ensure rule compliance and to check for any issues that may be causing track damage

๐No reversing on track in all classes except Ministox, where it must be done in a safe manner
๐Please safely let lapping cars pass; pass lapped cars with care
๐If you cause another car to crash, you must stop safely and wait for them to be marshalled
๐Strictly no practise on track during an active race

๐If any of the above are not reasonably being followed by any racer, we'll have an initial chat to advise of the rules and explain why they are in place
๐Repeated infractions shall lead to fastest times being removed or exclusion from the current meeting
๐Any grievances with driving/conduct on and off track – please consult a committee member/race director
By booking into any GRCC event, each racer is agreeing to follow these rules

*Zero tolerance policy on any abusive language, threats of physical violence, verbal abuse, harassment, either written or spoken. This is to protect all members when at the club premises or within club managed media, or any volunteer committee members when acting in their capacity as such. For committee members, this policy is extended to include persistent or unrealistic demands that cause stress. First instance will be immediately met with a one race ban. Second instance will incur a lifetime ban from the club. No membership or race fee refunds in either case and if instance taken place at the club premises, the individual will be asked to leave immediately.
